STEM Innovation Contest

International Phase, July 14th 2022

Welcome

The EURECA-PRO Alliance is aware of the key importance of raising visibility of STEM (‘Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics’) knowledge areas, encouraging the interest of the students, and specially the role of women, in STEM innovation. For this purpose, the EURECA-PRO Alliance organises the first edition of the ‘STEM Innovation Contest’ aiming to engage Undergraduate students from the seven partner Universities of the EURECA-PRO Alliance into the design of creative projects to solve real-world challenges in cooperation with STEM-related industries. The Contest promotes invention and problem-solving abilities through collaborative work among students with the support of multidisciplinary STEM researchers acting as mentors. See rules and requirements, and the STEM challenges and the scoring rubric for more information.

The Contest Local Phase took place from April 18th to April 20th at the University of León (Spain), the University of Petrosani (Romania) and the Silesian University of Technology (Poland). 9 teams participated in this first edition of STEM Innovation Contest.
