Frequently asked questions
With which legal entity will our organisation engage?
EURECA-PRO is an Alliance of 9 partner universities.
The Alliance is in the process of establishing its own legal entity. Once this is completed, your organisation will engage with this entity. In the meantime, you will formally engage with the EURECA-PRO university partner which was your first contact point, but in practice you will be open to engage with all partners.
What type of agreement will your organisation be signing with us?
Upon a favourable decision on an ad hoc collaboration, you will be signing a Letter of commitment / Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the EURECA-PRO university partner(s) with which you will be collaborating.
What if your organisation would like to establish a more formal partnership and become a EURECA-PRO Associated Partner?
Please kindly note that, if you are interested in establishing a more formal partnership with us and obtaining the EURECA-PRO Associated Partner status, a separate dedicated procedure is in place. You can request information on the formal accession process at info@eurecapro.eu.
Are there any fees associated with the engagement?
There are no fees for the engagement itself. However, depending on the actions in which you choose to engage (see list in pages 3-4), you will be expected to engage the necessary human resources and/or budget to fulfil your engagement.
Will there be any follow-up of the partnership?
Can we make use of the EURECA-PRO logo in our communication strategy?
How will we solve intellectual property (IP) issues?
Each party is and remains the owner of its proprietary knowledge. In most cases, the actions listed above will not generate joint IP. However, whenever an action will potentially generate shared IP, a specific agreement will be signed with the university or universities involved in the action, on the rules for sharing this IP and its exploitation. Students involved in IP-sensitive activities will also sign in their names a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).
How can the agreement/commitment be terminated or modified?
The commitment to EURECA-PRO is specific to one or more engagements. The agreement may be renewed if both parties agree. Either party may also decide to terminate the commitment to one or more actions, provided that it notifies the other party beforehand, stating the reasons for its withdrawal.
