Starting your career is about more than having the right qualifications. It is about communicating your strengths clearly, authentically and strategically and making it easy for the right people to see your potential.
This interactive workshop gives students practical tools and confidence for creating compelling application documents in English. We will look at what makes a CV and motivation letter effective, how recruiters and AI-supported screening tools assess applications, and how students can make their applications stand out while staying authentic.
Workshop Objectives
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Structure a clear, professional CV that highlights relevant skills, experience and achievements
- Write a convincing motivation letter that connects their profile with the position and company
- Use relevant keywords strategically to increase the visibility of their application
- Understand how AI-supported recruitment and screening can influence the application process
- Make their application more memorable while keeping their communication authentic and professional
- Communicate their strengths with greater confidence in an international application context
Successful communication is about more than getting the words right. It is about making your message clear, authentic and easy for other people to connect with.
A picture is worth a thousand words – which is why, following the workshop, we will be offering a photo shoot for application photos. Every participant will have the chance to have a professional photo taken of themselves for future job applications.
This workshop helps students become the hero of their own application story – communicating what they bring, why it matters and why a future employer should want to start a conversation with them.
