Learning Journey

You will begin by discovering the vision, structure, and mission of EURECA-PRO, understanding how European University Alliances shape higher education, research, and student mobility across borders. From there, the course guides you through European values, ethics, and sustainability — examining how historical and contemporary values inform responsible science, technology, and policy-making.

A central focus of the course is the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production. You will critically examine modern production and consumption systems through real-world case studies spanning energy, materials, digital technologies, and everyday products, and reflect on individual, institutional, and systemic responsibilities in driving sustainability transitions.

The course further develops your understanding of diversity, inclusion, and intercultural collaboration, equipping you with communication skills for transnational academic and professional environments. You will also explore sustainability, innovation, and the European Knowledge Economy, including the role of universities in regional development and EURECA-PRO’s flagship research areas such as sustainable resources, materials, energy, and humanities for transitions.

The journey closes with ecological thinking and futures — engaging with systems thinking, long-term responsibility, and the challenges and opportunities of building sustainable worlds for generations to come.
