The call is now open for the EURECA-PRO Teaching Excellence Awards (TEAs) will be granted to those higher education academic staff whose teaching innovation programmes and practices have an exceptional impact on learning and the student experience in general.
The awards aim to:
- Recognise and reward educators who excel in innovative teaching that enhances student learning.
- Stimulate and share best practices that strengthen the appreciation of teaching within EURECA–PRO.
- Highlight the integration of research, innovation, and education across our European University Alliance.
Award categories
Rising Star Award
For early-career educators (with no more than five years of experience) or PhD/postdoc teachers showing strong innovation in teaching.
Glocal Teaching Excellence Award
For educators, integrating global perspectives with local and regional relevance is essential.
Innovative Teaching Practice Award
For creative and technology-enhanced approaches that improve learning outcomes.
Nomination Deadline: 30 November 2025, midnight (CET)
Jury Review: December 2025
Finalists are notified: January 2026
Registrations for the glocalising universities event closes: 19 January 2026
Award Ceremony: 3 February 2026, Hasselt University
