The Media & Information Literacy (MIL) Module is an online, asynchronous course, designed to provide students with essential skills to critically navigate and analyse media and information in a global, digital, context.
Through short video lectures, readings, quizzes, and interactive activities, learners explore how information is produced, circulated, and mediated, and how media shape public opinion, attention, and emotions. The course addresses key issues such as misinformation, fake news, propaganda, information bubbles, cognitive biases, stereotypes, cyberbullying, and the role of digital platforms.
By the end of the course, learners will have strengthened their digital literacy, critical thinking, and intercultural awareness, in line with EURECA-PRO’s commitment to responsible and inclusive communication across disciplines. The course is intended for undergraduate students from all disciplines at EURECA-PRO partner universities, including international students.
