Abstract
The UHasselt Master of Materiomics presents: 5 expert lectures on innovative materials design.
This year, the Master of Materiomics at Hasselt University proudly presents Materialize the Future!, a dynamic lecture series featuring five expert talks on innovative materials design across key domains shaping tomorrow’s technologies.
Our distinguished speakers will guide us through cutting-edge developments in quantum materials, circularity, health, computational methods, and energy.
From exploring the role of materials in quantum applications (Prof. dr. Milos Nesladek) and renewable polymers for a circular economy (Dr. ir. Richard Vendamme), to breakthroughs in early-stage lung cancer detection (Prof. dr. Elien Derveaux), computational materials modelling (Prof. dr. dr. Danny Vanpoucke), and advanced energy materials for solar and CO₂ conversion (Prof. dr. Pascal Buskens), the program offers a comprehensive view of the field’s future directions.
The event aims to connect students, researchers, and professionals in materials science while showcasing the core pillars of the Master of Materiomics programme: materials for health, energy, circularity, and quantum. By bringing together diverse expertise in an accessible hybrid format, Materialize the Future! fosters knowledge exchange and inspires the next generation of materials innovators.
