International Conference on Responsible Consumption and Production Inspires Collaboration and Innovation

2 Oct, 2025

The biennial International Conference on Responsible Consumption and Production, organised and hosted by the EURECA-PRO team at the Technical University of Crete, was a resounding success. It brought together a vibrant community of practitioners, academics, and scientific experts from across disciplines, all committed to advancing Sustainable Development Goal 12 of the United Nations.

Dynamic platform for participants

The conference provided a dynamic platform for participants to share their experiences, scientific findings, and the latest advances in responsible consumption and production. It also offered opportunities to forge new collaborations and exchange inspiring ideas. Leading researchers and emerging voices discussed innovative solutions to today’s challenges while exploring the technological, humanistic, economic, social, and environmental dimensions of responsible consumption and production.

The scientific output of the conference reached a wide audience. All accepted abstracts were published in an ISBN-registered Book of Abstracts, while accepted and presented papers were featured in an indexed proceedings volume of the prestigious Springer World Sustainability Book Series. Selected papers were also invited to be developed into full articles for a special issue of the journal Circular Economy and Sustainability.

With strong participation, high-quality contributions, and the creation of lasting professional connections, the International Conference on Responsible Consumption and Production once again proved to be an inspiring and forward-looking event. It reinforced EURECA-PRO’s role as a driving force in knowledge exchange and collaboration, bringing the global community closer to a more sustainable future.
