Deliverable D7.2 is an internal report on the research funding sources available for RE-EURECA-PRO Partners. The document content was elaborated based on the Partners’ survey on the research funding sources, with specific emphasis on joint research opportunities, including also cooperation with industry.

This report is composed of three main parts. In the first part EU research funding sources are described and analysed. The document provides description of general assumptions and objectives of each Pillar and other initiatives. Links to the specific programs’ details and calls are also included to facilitate the funding sources search for RE-EURECA-PRO Partners.

Second part concerns national founding opportunities that includes:

  • programs of national grant agencies,
  • university funding sources,
  • national funding sources dedicated for cooperation with industry.

Such inventory was designed to list agencies, types of research projects and eligible costs. Special attention was paid for international cooperation funded from national sources. In this part of the document over 60 national agencies or other state and private funding sources were mentioned and briefly described. In most cases links to the agencies or specific programs were also provided. This part of the document briefly describes also companies and industrial partners with the most reach history of cooperation with each Partner of RE-EURECA-PRO in research or education projects funded by EU, state or from private sources.

Last part summarizes the utilization of research funding sources by each Partner aggregated for the last 5-years and last year periods. Most important numbers from this last 5-years summary for all RE-EURECA-PRO Partners are as follows:

  • participation in over 40 EU projects as a coordinator and in nearly 500 as beneficiary
  • participation in over 6 100 national projects as a coordinator or beneficiary
  • participation in over 3 800 industry funded projects.

Such summary will by further utilized for research potential analysis of the consortium based on the individual experience within specific funding programs.
