EURECA-PRO Review Week

EURECA-PRO Review Week will be held at the Silesian University of Technology from 17 to 20 May 2022. Researchers and students associated within the EURECA-PRO university consortium will come to Gliwice. 

More than 140 participants from eight European universities – rectors of partner universities, researchers, administration representatives and students associated within the EURECA-PRO universities consortium, will take part in the EURECA-PRO Review Week organised at the Silesian University of Technology.

This meeting will provide an opportunity to review the common tasks which were conducted within the consortium, as well as to discuss plans for the nearest future.

The inauguration of EURECA-PRO Review Week will take place on 17 May at 9.00 a.m. in the Education and Congress Centre in Konarskiego Street in Gliwice. The ceremony will be attended by the University authorities and representatives of the Metropolis GZM as well as by special guests, who are the authorities of the Lviv Polytechnic.

The programme of this year’s EURECA-PRO Review Week will include plenary meetings of the rectors of partner universities and all thematic groups of the consortium. They will discuss the achievements of the European University to date and the prospects for further development. On 19 May, there will be a discussion on the development of the scientific potential of the alliance, the directions and areas of joint research and the project activities of EURECA-PRO researchers.

The consortium representatives will also participate in the scientific session opening the EURECA-PRO International Week at the Silesian University of Technology. During the session, students associated in scientific associations will present their outstanding achievements. EURECA-PRO students and researchers will also participate in the Sports Day – an event organized by the Science Popularization Centre- We Support the Sport scientifically. The academic community will also have an opportunity to see a post-competition exhibition by children and youth on ECO with EURECA.

The EURECA-PRO Consortium (European University on Responsible Consumption and Production) brings together 8 European universities. They are: Silesian University of Technology, Montanuniversität Leoben (Austria), Technische Universität Bergakademie Freiberg (Germany), Technical University of Crete (Greece), Universidad de León (Spain), University of Petrosani (Romania), University of Applied Sciences Mittweida (Germany) and Hasselt University (Belgium).
